Shocking moment for Jos Verstappen. The father of Formula One world champion Max Verstappen caused a violent crash during a rally race in Belgium. The Dutchman loses control in this fast left-right combination and crashes into a marshal. After the impact, his car overturns and ends up on its roof. Miraculously, he and his passenger Jasper Vermöhlen remain uninjured. The shock is deep.
The most important thing is that Jasper and I got out of the car unharmed. It was a serious accident, but it shows that we are in safe cars. I’m glad we got out safely.
Jos Verstappen is one of the biggest names in rallying. Just last year he became Belgian rally champion.
