Guarantee interrogation for the owners of Ma.De., at the center of the investigation involving footballers and VIPs. Lawyer Marco Martini: “My clients are victims of media harassment”

No illicit activities, but simple social evenings for wealthy clients: this is the version of Emanuele Buttini and Deborah Ronchi, the owners of Ma.De, the company at the center of the investigation into prostitution in Milan. Today the couple, subjected to house arrest, appeared before the investigating judge Chiara Valori for the interrogation. An interview that lasted about four hours, during which the two responded point by point to the complaints. Their lawyer, Marco Martini, said he was satisfied: “They gave technical explanations and were very precise.” The defender joked about the description provided by some media, which portrayed his clients as an “evil couple”: “Dr. Ronchi has a degree in Economics, Buttini is a surveyor. They started from nothing and created a world that refers to the ephemeral, with customers who spend six or seven thousand euros on bottles of wine. Things that are very normal for them, just as it is normal for us to go shopping at the supermarket.” According to the Prosecutor’s thesis, however, something else was hidden behind the screen of the Ma.De company. Together with two collaborators, the owners would have offered wealthy people – among which the names of over 60 Serie A footballers stand out – “packages” worth thousands of euros which included sexual services in luxury hotels. Accusations that the defense forcefully rejects: “These two boys were portrayed as exploiters of poor women, but they were not even the direct managers of the employees, who were paid by other companies.” The lawyer also announced that he will challenge the precautionary measure and the preventive seizure of 1.2 million euros. “I would tend to exclude that there was black money abroad”, added Martini, complaining of a “media fury” that is destroying the lives of his clients. While Buttini and Ronchi chose to speak, their collaborators Alessio Salamone and Luz Luan Amilton Fraga, also under investigation, decided to exercise the right not to respond.
