Two cars crashed on Sunday night a few kilometers apart, one on the A65 near Berkel-Enschot and the other on the N65 near Udenhout. The drivers had drunk too much.
The accident on the A65 happened around three o’clock at night. The driver of that car lost control, crashed her car into a concrete wall along the highway and hit a lamp post. The car ended up upside down on the road.
The woman appeared to have celebrated King’s Night. She was injured in the crash and was taken to a hospital in an ambulance.
While officers were dealing with this accident, things also went wrong a few kilometers away. There, a driver’s car left the road and collided head-on with a tree in the central reservation. That car ended up on its side.
The young man was checked by ambulance personnel and then taken to the police station to take an alcohol test. He already blew far too high a blood alcohol level on the spot. The car was taken by a recovery company.
