Paula Lammertyn, How were your beginnings in your profession?
I started out as an accountant and for 23 years I developed in the corporate world, in structured and results-oriented environments. That journey gave me discipline, strategic insight, and a deep understanding of how organizations work.
Over time, I became interested in well-being within companies. It was evident that results alone were not enough: more motivated and emotionally sustained people were needed.
I began to wonder what made someone really want to achieve something, what happened in conversations, in emotions and in bonds.
That’s when something changed.
I began training in coaching, emotional development and communication. Without realizing it, I was building a bridge between the organizational and human worlds. Today that bridge is my place.
What are the services you provide as a professional?
I accompany people, teams and organizations in development and transformation processes and in the search for their personal meaning.
I work with leadership programs focused on emotional and conversational skills, training for commercial teams, coaching processes and design of feedback systems that help build healthier and more conscious cultures.
Beyond services, I generate spaces where important things can happen: conversations that were not happening, new perspectives and more aligned decisions.
I work with people and companies accompanying real processes, those that are felt and applied on a daily basis.
How do you project yourself for the future?
I plan to consolidate my consulting firm with its own identity, where business development and human development are deeply integrated. I want to continue expanding leadership programs and generate spaces that invite a more conscious and authentic transformation.
Art and writing take more and more place in my life, as part of how I see the world and accompany processes. Along those lines, I wrote my book Don’t be distracted, dare to be you, during the pandemic, a moment that invited me to delve deeper into self-leadership.
What are your differentials in the sector?
My way of working is based on a comprehensive view: the emotional, the conversational and the strategic coexist all the time.
I am interested in each learning impacting the way of being, doing, deciding and connecting. I work from deep listening, respecting the uniqueness of each person and team.
If you started over, what would you do differently?
I would rather trust my initial intuition and the value of building my own path. I was always interested in the concept of “Business Clinic”.
Because, ultimately, everything I do seeks to promote well-being: in people, in teams and in the way we live our work and personal lives.
