Mikkelin Jukurit says they have acquired a Swedish striker by Jesper Olofsson34.
The contract covers the 2026–27 season.
Olofsson has more than 15 years of professional career behind him, during which he has played in the major leagues of Sweden, Switzerland and Denmark.
In the 2022–23 season, Olofsson played in Biel’s shirt at a pace of almost a point per game, when 43 power points were created in 48 matches. In the season before that, no less than 50 points were accumulated in the Tigers.
The winger also has experience with the Swedish national team.
– Jesper brings a lot of experience, game skills and competitiveness. Olofsson has played in tough environments, in big roles and under pressure. He is exactly the kind of striker we were missing next season, Jukurie’s sporting director Mikko Hakkarainen says in the club’s press release.
Last season, Olofsson represented MoDo in the Allsvenskan, scoring 29 points in 45 regular season matches. Eight points were scored in the 13 matches of the playoff stage.
Jukurit finished second last in the SM league.
