Fürth (dpa) – Promotion coach Stefan Leitl has left his future open at Bundesliga bottom SpVgg Greuther Fürth. “It’s possible in all directions,” Leitl told Sky TV on the sidelines of the game against Borussia Mönchengladbach.
It’s not about probabilities. He has a good exchange with sports director Rachid Azzouzi. “There is nothing to communicate at the moment,” said Leitl, who was last associated with FC Schalke 04 and Hertha BSC.
For Sky expert Dietmar Hamann, however, it is clear that Leitl will leave the club. “For me, he has a higher calling. It probably won’t be in Fürth next season,” said Hamann, emphasizing: “There’s a big market for him. If you only have one point after 14 games and don’t lose the team, you have to you be a magician.”
