A car was completely burned out on the A28 near De Wijk this morning. The occupants were able to get out of the vehicle themselves and were not injured.
Due to the car fire, a lane is closed, causing delays towards Hoogeveen. The fire brigade has now extinguished the fire, but could not prevent the car from completely burning out.
It is not clear what the cause of the fire is. A salvage company removed the car.
