The trial into the death of 9-year-old Raul started on Thursday at the Ghent Assize Court. The boy died in 2023 after prolonged and severe abuse. During the first day of the hearing, mother Ioana-Maria Micu (33) and stepfather Nicusor Nati Ciurcui (37) had their say, and they continually shifted the blame to each other.
