In addition to numerous football stars, a Formula 1 driver is also said to be involved in the prostitution scandal in Italy.

This is reported by the “Gazetta dello Sport”, citing interception protocols. The Formula 1 driver, who was not named, was looking for a prostitute.

The Italian authorities’ investigations into the case are currently in full swing. They got rolling after the discovery of a suspected prostitution ring in the Milan party scene.

According to consistent reports, the names of prominent footballers have also appeared, from top clubs such as AC Milan, Inter Milan and Juventus Turin.

The players – including well-known Serie A professionals from Italy and other countries – are currently not being investigated.

Instead, the focus is on four defendants who have been under house arrest since Monday.

They are accused of having organized a system through an event agency in which more than 100 women – including professional escorts, most of whom apparently were between 18 and 20 years old – were recruited for events and also referred to wealthy customers for sexual services.

Nitrous oxide and a pregnant woman involved?

Investigations are underway for exploitation, aiding and abetting prostitution, drug trafficking and money laundering. Investigators also seized assets worth around 1.2 million euros.

According to reports, laughing gas was also consumed at the events. The gas is popular with footballers, among other things, because it cannot be detected in doping controls, the reports said.

According to Gazetta, the case of a pregnant woman also appears in wiretapping protocols. One of the women spoke to one of the organizers about a footballer whom she had “accompanied” and from whom she subsequently became pregnant.
