Fifth career pole for the Turkish who this year shows off the number 1 on the hull of his Second position for Alvaro Bautista, 1’48 “273, a few thousandths separate the Ducati Spaniard from the Yamaha rider who immediately presents himself as the third wheel in the fight for the world title. Third Jonathan Rea on Kawasaki, with a time of 1’48 “476. Box number four for the other Ducati of Michael Ruben Rinaldi, 1’48” 755, followed by the British Alex Lowes 1’48 “986 and the Italian Andrea Locatelli, 1’48 “998. Honda’s Spaniard Iker Lecuona seventh ahead of the Bmw of the Ukrainian Mykhalchyk and the Panigale V4 R of Axel Bassani. The French Loris Baz was tenth, the American Garrett Gerloff in the saddle of the independent R1 eleventh, the German Philipp Oettl twelfth.
