The Finnish small distillery Pirula has won the international London Spirits Competition Talvi-gold in his gin.
– Of course it’s great. It’s always nice when somehow you win, Petri Rintala tells.
Petri Rintala has founded his brother Pirula Tomi Rintalan with. Located in Ylistaro, Pirula produces wines, ciders, beers and distilled spirits.
Rintala says that he was just this weekend in Frankfurt at the Cider World competition, which focuses on ciders, where Pirula took home three silver medals.
Rintala describes the acclaimed Talvi gin as spicy and warm.
– It has a good aroma and leaves a good taste in the mouth. It can also be eaten raw. And it’s soft, as winter is. It has spiciness and winter flavors.
According to Rintala, in addition to Pirula Talve, Pirula is also starting production of Kesä gin.
– Summer has not been brought into production yet, but we have already done it. It will go into production at some point, Rintala reveals.
