Jutta Leerdam makes Jordi Versteegden itch with her self-congratulatory Instagram posts, and that causes a heated debate at the Shownieuws desk. “This is giving me a short circuit.”
After her Olympic success, Jutta Leerdam has reached a new milestone: the 27-year-old skater has been named one of the most influential young talents in the world by the American business magazine Forbes. The girlfriend of American influencer Jake Paul has been included in the prestigious Forbes 30 Under 30.
Blessed and happy
Story boss Guido den Aantrekker, who loves this right-wing conservative bunch, thinks it’s wonderful. “Jutta has achieved something very beautiful. The business magazine Forbes has a list of the thirty under thirty. Jutta is in it, at Sports and Games. That is really an enormous honor,” he says in Show news.
Jutta in a hysterical video: “I can hardly believe it, but I am on Forbes’ 30 under 30 list. That feels so surreal. I am so grateful, blessed and happy. This shows that if you choose your own path, follow your heart and work very hard, you can achieve your dreams and things just happen.”

Short circuit
Telegraaf reporter Jordi Versteegden thinks it’s terrible. “This really short-circuits me. It makes me itch when I look at this.”
Celebrity photographer William Rutten: “Why? She can be proud of that, right?”
Jordi: “She can be very proud of it, but this feels to me like an over-the-top list. They are those lists in which you put a celebrity or world star, so that you have PR for the list. That is allowed, but it makes me itch.”
Psychologist
Guido doesn’t like that criticism of Jutta. “Where exactly? If I were a psychologist, I would find this a very strong reaction. What is going on? Why are you so upset about this?”
Jordi: “The way she says that. Then I think… I don’t know. It doesn’t feel natural.”
Guido: “Do you think she’s stupid anyway or not?”
Dyantha Brooks: “But Jordi, let’s look at it through a different lens: she is gorgeous, she is very successful, she has a great body and a successful boyfriend with a lot of reach. Shouldn’t she just enjoy this success? Very un-Dutch?”
Jitters
Jordi sticks to his position. “Absolutely, I am also proud that we have these kinds of people in the Netherlands, but it makes me itch when I look at them. I think there are a lot of people at home who think that. It is her attitude. She is just a Dutch girl from Friesland and she presents herself as if she is a world star.”
He continues: “That just gives me the creeps. Isn’t that allowed?”
Guido: “Oh, guys! We’re going to grab the first aid kit!”
Jordi: “I can watch with pride when she is on the skating rink, but when I see more people who record these types of videos, it just makes me itch. Isn’t that allowed?”
