Niels van der Laan and Jeroen Woe always receive a celebrity in their program Even Tot Hier who provides a musical parody. How much do these artists get paid for this?
The NPO 1 hit Even Tot Hier is by far the most successful satirical program in the Netherlands. Much more successful than Arjen Lubach’s RTL 4 column in any case. It is an honor for artists to participate in that show. The musical parody with a celebrity as lead singer is especially a coveted part among the stars.
15,000 euros?
What is the salary for an artist who provides such a song in Even Tot Hier? “Yes, an artist always comes to perform there and of course you get compensation for that. I get this question very often,” says TV authority Tina Nijkamp. “Yes, as an artist you simply receive compensation for that and then you have to think about a daily allowance.”
She continues in the podcast Tina’s TV Update: “It is of course not a program where you can ask whatever you want as an artist. Artists charge 5,000 or 8,000 euros for half an hour. 15,000 euros is also very normal for types like Flemming and so on. But with Even Tot Hier you have to think about a daily allowance.”
‘Not much more’
What should we think about then? Tina: “Suppose you spend two days on it, then you get a total of 1,000 or 1,500 euros as an artist and not much more. It is a program that you naturally participate in for the honor. It is also very good marketing for you as an artist, because the program is so incredibly popular.”
Even Tot Hier scored almost 1.7 million viewers last week. “And that, including postponed viewing, amounts to 2.7 million. As an artist you do not participate for the money, but for the honor and for your own marketing.”
