A prank news about a meatball-flavored lollipop published on April Fool’s Day, i.e. April 1, attracted attention in Finland and the world. Now the Ingka Group, the largest Ikea retailer, and Chupa Chups, one of the world’s most famous lollipop brands, are making the joke a reality.

In June, the companies will bring meatball-themed lollipops to hundreds of Ikea department stores around the world.

Ikea says in its announcement that Chupa Chups has developed a playful lollipop that draws its inspiration from the flavors and atmosphere of the iconic Swedish meatball and its classic lingonberry sauce. According to the release, Tikkari interprets the spirit of Ikea food in a new and surprising way.

A total of one million lollipops are produced, and they are distributed to Ikea department stores around the world. However, the product cannot be purchased. According to Ikea, the lollipop will also be available in Finland.
