Russia and Europe are seeking rapprochement with Hungary now that Orbán is leaving

Russia wants to maintain good ties with Hungary after the election results, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov reported. Hungarian opposition leader Péter Magyar won Sunday’s elections against Prime Minister Viktor Orbán. Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission, also says it is ‘very important that we work intensively with the new Hungarian government’.
