The exhibition is a collaboration between the cultural department of Middelkerke, the Verbeke Foundation and Muziekclub De Zwerver, the organizer of Leffingeleuren. Curator Marie Ver Boven also selected work by the Middelkerke artist Pannek (1937–2002) and the young artist Frederik Lizen (°1986) for the exhibition.

The Leffingeleuren music festival celebrates its 50th anniversary this year. For the first 25 years, in addition to the music, there was always a monumental art project on display. That made Leffingeleuren unique in its kind. The impetus for this was given by the founder and driving force of Leffingeleuren Jan Vaneessen.

The free exhibition runs until the end of August. The exhibition is open every day during the Easter holidays. Then only on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. During the summer the exhibition is open every day except Monday.
