Esko Eerikäinen made the audience laugh with his funny acknowledgment during the live broadcast of Radiogala.
The presenters of Radio Nova’s afternoon broadcast Veronica Verho and Esko Eerikäinen took to the Radiogala stage to hand out the national and local radio salesman’s awards.
Before the awards were handed out, Katja Ståhl, the co-host of the gala, asked Eerikäinen a joking question.
– Esko, which would you rather win, the long jump at the Olympics or radio host of the year? Ståhl would ask Eerikäinen.

Eerikäinen has never won the radio presenter of the year award, although he has wanted it very much for years. Eerikäinen joked about it even before the award ceremony.
– I want to feel this moment a little, because it may be that this is my only moment when I’m here in front. But let’s move on, Eerikäinen said on the broadcast.

This year, in addition to Eerikäinen, the nominees for radio host of the year include, among others Niko Saarinenwhich has already won that award three times in a row.
