Journalist Maria Veitola was saddened to hear about musician and writer Kauko Röyhkä’s unpleasant experience on her talk show.

Contacted by Iltalehti, Veitola says that she does not remember the interview from almost twenty years ago. He says that Röyhka’s experience saddens him.

– In that program, as in any other program, I never wished anyone any harm. I haven’t wanted to ride anywhere. Sometimes people don’t meet in the TV studio and it goes badly for some reason. Maybe that’s what happened here, Veitola tells Iltalehte by phone.

– He has the right to his own experience. I’m sorry to hear if that’s what he experienced. I would always like to leave a good impression on people when I meet them, but unfortunately it doesn’t always work out that way. I am upset and sad about it.

Veitola was not aware that Röyhka had had a bad experience with him or the visit Maria, Maria from the program.

– If I saw him on the street, I would happily say hello, says Veitola.

Veitola says she plans to send Röyhkä a message about the matter.
