Sabrina Carpenter, Margaret Qualley and Madelyn Cline as burglars – “House Tour” is the most stylish heist video of the year.
Pop star Sabrina Carpenter has released a clip with her new music video “House Tour” that doesn’t show a classic home tour. Instead of a simple tour of a house, Carpenter stages a glamorous and adventurous crime.
The clip combines humor, style and clever references typical of Carpenter’s creative signature. Four highlights from the music video:
1. Heist instead of Home Tour
The title “House Tour” might seem harmless at first, but Carpenter delivers a completely different reality: together with her companions Margaret Qualley and Madelyn Cline, she stages a stylish break-in into a luxury villa. Scenes of glittering stolen goods, elegant chaos and a labeled getaway car immediately bring to mind Sofia Coppola’s The Bling Ring, Spring Breakers and other anarchic party films of the 2000s era.
2. The Tarantula Clue
A small but noticeable detail is currently causing speculation among fans: a spider appears in the video. Some on Reddit are interpreting this as a reference to a possible 8th studio album from Sabrina Carpenter – after all, a spider has eight legs. A funny, mysterious nod to the fan community.
3. Symbolic Grammy Hunt
One particularly striking scene shows Carpenter “hijacking” a Grammy Award. This detail is not only a wink at the reality of the music business, but also a playful statement about Carpenter’s artistic ambition.
Fans interpreted the theft as an ironic allusion to fame, recognition and the absurd aspects of the pop business. At the same time, the scene serves as a metaphor for how artists in the music industry have to “take their success into their own hands” – a subtle message that runs through the entire video.
4. Fashion as a statement
Fashion is anything but secondary in the “House Tour” clip. Carpenter combines oversized jacket styles with summery light bikini outfits and menswear elements, creating a unique, eye-catching look. The combination of classic style, trendy accents and confident statements not only makes the video visually exciting, but highlights Carpenter’s ability to use fashion as an expression of her personality and attitude.
The outfits seem like a reflection of the narrative production: playful, rebellious and consciously stylized.
