Pope wishes believers a happy Easter in ten languages, but does not thank the flowers

Pope Leo XIV’s first Easter Mass started on St. Peter’s Square on Sunday. Tens of thousands of believers have turned up to experience the celebration in the Vatican. Tradition has it that his predecessors also said a word of thanks in Dutch for the flowers that adorn the square, but that did not happen this year.
