Just days before the release, BTS hinted that they had a surprise song in store for their fans. The highly anticipated track “Come Over” was released on Friday – but only on the deluxe vinyl edition of “Arirang”, their first full studio album in six years.

Lucky fans who received the vinyl – which was shipped two weeks after the LP release – have since been posting snippets of the bonus song online. “I’m lost, can I come over?” the dreamy track begins in the chorus. “I just wanna say I’m sorry.”

After discovering the song, fans are urging the group to make it available on streaming platforms. Among the numerous posts calling for wider availability, one fan wrote on Another suggested starting a petition, while another jokingly said he was already walking around with a record player playing the song.

According to Billboard, BTS revealed the song’s existence during a livestream on Weverse on Wednesday, April 1. The group celebrated “Arirang” debuting at number one on the Billboard 200 and “Swim” topping the singles chart, while hinting at a special track on the project. “A song I produced is coming out soon – it’s finally coming out, a special song on the LP,” Suga revealed.

RM hinted: “If you come to the concert in Goyang next week, you might be able to hear him.” BTS’ world tour in support of the album kicks off on April 9th with three nights at Goyang Stadium in South Korea. During the stream, the group agreed that the track would remain exclusive to the physical deluxe vinyl edition, according to Billboard.

Record sales in the first week

“Arirang,” released on March 20, achieved record sales in its first week. The LP sold a total of 641,000 copies in its first week — the most by any group since Billboard began tracking streaming numbers in 2014 — including 532,000 in pure album sales. This latest figure is the highest by a group in over a decade, Billboard reported – the most in pure album sales by a group since the release of One Direction’s “Midnight Memories” in 2013.
