Marcos Llorente has stood out among footballers for some time now. He also backed this up with an Instagram post.
Interviews and press conferences with Marcos Llorente are different. While with footballers it is usually about the upcoming or the past game, for Llorente other topics are the order of the day. For example, his glasses with yellow-tinted lenses that he wears during the day or the glasses with red-tinted lenses that he wears in the evening to avoid the blue screen light from smartphones or televisions, which can affect sleep.
In the fall of 2025, Llorente revealed himself to be a supporter of the chemtrail conspiracy narrative. This refers to the contrails from airplanes, which some people suspect are intentionally sprayed chemicals. Llorente is one of them. “When I look at the sky, I see something I’ve never seen before. That’s not normal for me. I want to express that. Many people thank me for that. Others say it’s water vapor. But I didn’t see that before,” he said in an interview with “El Desmarque.”
The 31-year-old likes to talk a lot about health, about a conscious and balanced diet – and also about the positive effects of sunlight. That’s why he’s not a fan of sunscreen, which he now made clear on Instagram. There, Llorente posted photos of himself disguised as a sunscreen bottle. “Sunscreen 650+. Blocking vitamin D since 1985,” his panel reads.
Llorente advocates natural contact with the sun and against the use of sunscreen.
Further statements are printed on the back. These include recommendations such as: “Expose yourself to the sun ALL year round, not just three days in August.” Or: “Go into the shade when your body tells you: ‘Hey, that’s enough.'” It also says “Build melanin gradually (your natural biological protection)” on its back.
