It wasn’t just passers-by who were amazed: heavyweight boxer Derek Chisora drove through London in a tank. What the action is all about.
Derek Chisora attracted attention with an unusual appearance before his next boxing match – the heavyweight drove through London on a tank to the press conference.
At his side: the right-wing populist politician Nigel Farage. They appeared together at the media event before Chisora’s duel with the American Deontay Wilder. The fight takes place on Saturday at the O2 Arena in London and could be the 42-year-old Brit’s final appearance.
The date “April 4th” was visible on the tank’s cannon and on the license plate. The streaming service DAZN wrote on a video of the scene: “Crazy entry by Chisora and Nigel Farage”.
According to DAZN, Chisora, who competes under the fight name “War”, has announced that this could be his last professional fight. It is the 50th appearance in the professional ring for both boxers.
The Brit’s record includes 36 wins and 13 defeats. Wilder, two years younger, has 44 wins, one draw and four defeats. For the American, the fight also serves as preparation for a possible duel with three-time world champion Oleksandr Usyk.
