It doesn’t get any more pleasant in the canteen of RTL 4: once again Humberto Tan gives a sneer to Renze Klamer, who runs off with the late-night loot. “Beau and Leonie are loyal.”
The RTL 4 top had better do their best to smooth out some wrinkles, because Renze Klamer is the man who has to save the channel’s late evening, but quite a negative sentiment is developing around them. Who caused that? His former colleagues Beau van Erven Dorens and Humberto Tan, who are angry. Very angry.
Runaway Renze
Renze walked away from the program in the early stages of RTL Tonight and that is of course right. Like the rest of the Netherlands, he thought it was a terribly bad format. Beau van Erven Dorens and Humberto Tan remained loyal to channel boss Peter van der Vorst. The result? They are now being thrown in the trash together with RTL Tonight.
And Renze? He is put forward as the untainted talk show host who can save the late evening. It has caused bad blood among Beau and Humberto that, on the day of the cancellation of RTL Tonight, Renze shouted that he was going to try to get a regular talk show table. And therefore not a desk like in Tonight. Aw…
Beau and Hum angry
Beau is so pissed off at Renze that he cut off a question about him live on television. According to Albert Verlinde, Beau is a man of principles and he found Renze’s statements simply uncollegial.
And Humberto? He has now published two Insta posts at the end of RTL Tonight and in both he takes a swipe at Renze. On the day of the cancellation, Humberto wrote a word of thanks to his colleagues Beau and Leonie: “Just when things got difficult, you stood still.”
Second sneer
And now there is a second sneer from Humberto. He lets you know Instagram: “Just another week of nothing and then back to work!! Great Leonie and Beau how you are doing the shows despite the decision: positive, energetic and loyal as always!! See you soon!”
Loyal as always. Something you can’t say about Renze is the underlying message…
