Unfortunately, I’m afraid he’s not getting good advice at the moment. None of us are involved in the negotiations, which is why in the end these can only be speculations. But I’m wondering who is the driving force behind this – in my eyes – farce that has now arisen.
If the rumored numbers are correct, I don’t know what else the players want. It seems illogical to me to negotiate an AK for this summer. All he has to do is say no to the contract offer. Instead, the motto “back up and keep looking” probably applies here.
The consultants also probably sense a big win for their own pockets and are therefore pushing the negotiations further and trying to squeeze every last bit out of the can.
If an agreement is reached in days or weeks and the last-mentioned rumors and speculations are actually incorporated – i.e. with AK for this summer, I don’t know how he will be received in the stadium. I can well imagine that the relationship will cool down significantly.
And honestly – from my point of view, he can then save himself any club-related symbols in the future, such as kissing the coat of arms or hand on the coat of arms. Nobody will take that away from him anyway.
Anyone who knows me knows that I am actually very tolerant and understanding – usually too understanding. But here I’m at the end of my patience. This whole thing has been going on for months now. What, is it so difficult that this drags on for another few weeks? If he wants to stay, he should sign and if not, then not. In my opinion, BVB has to be careful about the image it sends to the other players and young talent. You are not that dependent on any player and that has to be conveyed that way.
