Galatasaray MCT Technic Men’s Basketball Team lost 84-83 away to Spain’s La Laguna Tenerife team in the first match of the Champions League quarter-finals.
In the match at the Santiago Martin Arena on the Tenerife Island of Spain, the home team closed the first quarter ahead 23-15.
The yellow-reds recovered in the second quarter and performed effectively on offense and went to the locker room with a 41-40 advantage.
The Spanish representative finished the third quarter with a 64-56 advantage and won the match 84-83. La Laguna Tenerife thus took a 1-0 lead in the series.
The second match of the match will be played at Sinan Erdem Sports Hall on Wednesday, April 8. The team that will achieve two wins in the series will advance to the Final Four.
