Local residents went to both the Council of State (Council of State) and the RVVB against the plans for the stadium. The Council of State rejected the appeal in January. The RVVB will therefore consider the file tomorrow. The public hearing starts at 1:30 PM. There will be no verdict tomorrow. The decision is expected within 60 days of Thursday’s hearing.
The file surrounding the construction of a new stadium for Club Brugge has been dragging on for years. Local residents in particular are opposed to the plans of the Bruges football club. They fear problems surrounding nuisance and mobility in the vicinity of the stadium.
