Hinkelien Schreuder will take over as chairman of the Doping Authority on June 1. The Council of Ministers has approved the appointment by Minister Sophie Hermans of Health, Welfare and Sport, on the recommendation of NOC*NSF.
Hinkelien Schreuder is a chairman with an international top sports background and extensive administrative experience. Schreuder comes from Schiphol where she worked as a strategic advisor.
First as a top athlete and later in various administrative and supervisory positions, Schreuder has been closely involved in the theme of sports integrity in recent years. From 2019, Schreuder has served on the Advisory Board of the Doping Authority, and she is also chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Institute for Sports Jurisprudence (ISR). Previously, she was a member and chairman of the Athletes Committee of NOC*NSF and in that capacity a board member of the sports umbrella organization.
Hinkelien Schreuder was active as a swimmer at the highest level for more than a decade. At the 2008 Olympic Games she was part of the team that won gold in the 4x100m freestyle, and 4 years later she won silver at the Games with the relay team.

Schreuder has been appointed for a period of 4 years and succeeds Harro Knijff, who took over the role of chairman of the Doping Authority from autumn 2025.
