Due to an error within the KNGU gymnastics association, no Dutch delegation is allowed to participate in the European Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships in Varna, Bulgaria, at the end of May. This also makes the World Championships in Frankfurt in mid-August inaccessible to the best Dutch people in this discipline. “The girls are heartbroken,” says Cees Heegstra, chairman of the club involved, Ritmica/RG from Alkmaar.
