There is trouble in the pigeon world on the border of East and West Flanders. Due to an adjustment to the regulations on the East Flemish side, pigeon fanciers who live too far from the provincial border are no longer allowed to release their birds in West Flanders and vice versa. De Reisduif and De Zwaluw from Ruiselede in West Flanders are therefore in danger of losing 34 East Flemish players, good for 7,000 pigeons. “Where is the logic? I will even have to drive further if I am no longer welcome in Ruiselede,” says Dirk from Meigem in East Flanders.
