In the German U21 national team, Nicolò Tresoldi does a lot of self-promotion. Not only half the Bundesliga is after the striker, but now apparently three associations as well.

The Argentine Football Association is getting involved with DFB gem Nicolò Tresoldi, reports “Bild”. Accordingly, the South Americans contacted the German U21 international and made contact.

The background is: Tresoldi’s mother comes from the country of the reigning world champion, who therefore believes there is a chance of letting the youngster play for his own senior national team.

But it’s not just the Albiceleste who are interested in the 21-year-old, the Italians are also hoping for a contract. The center forward was born in Sicily; his father Emanuele once played for the Azzurri U21 national team. Since Tresoldi has not yet played a senior international game for Germany, a change could theoretically still be made – as was recently the case with Paul Wanner, who now plays for Austria.

Italy change? Tresoldi: “I haven’t spoken to anyone”

Tresoldi recently scored his eleventh and twelve goals for the German U21 national team in the 3-0 win against Northern Ireland. On the sidelines of the international double pack, he said to “ProSieben Maxx” about his future: “I haven’t spoken to anyone from Italy. I’m now with the U21 and focused on the next two games. So there’s nothing to say about that.”

With his brace, the attacker, who moved from Hannover 96 to Club Brugge in the summer and has 13 league goals in the current season, also applied for a promotion to Julian Nagelsmann’s A squad.

At the same time, he proved why numerous Bundesliga clubs should now think about signing him in the summer. According to the portal “fussballdaten.de”, Borussia Dortmund, Eintracht Frankfurt, Bayer Leverkusen and VfB Stuttgart are among those showing interest.
