Mathieu van der Poel and Wout van Aert are stranded within sight of the harbor in the final of the semi-classic In Flanders Fields – From Middelkerke to Wevelgem (formerly known as Gent-Wevelgem). For a long time it seemed like it would be an old-fashioned battle for the win between the two, but the peloton still overtook the duo in the final kilometers. Jasper Philipsen – teammate of the Dutchman – then won the bunch sprint.
