Julian Nagelsmann will announce his squad for the World Cup on May 12th at 1 p.m., four days before the last Bundesliga matchday. This was announced by the German Football Association. It is not yet clear where the national coach will probably name the 26 names for the tournament. The national team will play the last international match before the nomination on Monday (8.45 p.m./ARD) in Stuttgart against Ghana.

The immediate preparation for the World Cup begins on May 25th with a training camp in Herzogenaurach. On June 2nd, the DFB selection will fly to Chicago two days after a test in Mainz against Finland. The tournament dress rehearsal will take place there on June 6th (8:30 p.m./CEST) against co-hosts USA.

FIFA gets a list of 55 names

At the beginning of June, Nagelsmann must report his final squad of 26 players to FIFA. The national coach could also name more players beforehand. However, all players must be on a list of a maximum of 55 players, which must be presented to the world association by May 11th.

The national team will move into its World Cup camp on June 8th in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. From there the team travels to the games on June 14th in Houston against Curacao, on June 20th in Toronto against the Ivory Coast and at the end of the group phase on June 25th against Ecuador in the final stadium in East Rutherford near New York.
