On March 13, around 3:45 a.m., the police responded to a fire and explosion at a synagogue in Rotterdam. That same night, four Tilburg teenagers were arrested, four of whom were in a car. The following week, a fifth Tilburg citizen was arrested and since yesterday, in addition to the 23-year-old man from Amsterdam, a 20-year-old man from Tilburg has also been detained.

On March 20, the Jewish community was again startled by a suspicious situation at a synagogue in Heemstede. According to the Public Prosecution Service, there were plans to commit an attack. Two teenagers (14, 17) from Amsterdam have previously been arrested for this purpose and a third Amsterdam resident (18) has been in custody since yesterday.

The three newest suspects are under complete restrictions and are only allowed to have contact with their lawyer. Today they were brought before the examining magistrate, who decided that they would remain in custody for fourteen days.

Two weeks ago there was also an explosion at the Cheider Jewish school in Buitenveldert. An exterior wall of the school was damaged. According to the police, this concerns two suspects. No suspects have yet been arrested in this case
