“Don’t hold your urine, because this can cause bladder problems in the long term.” That is the call of the well-known urologist Piet Hoebeke (UZ Ghent). Yet this is often easier said than done for train travelers in Flanders and Brussels. Our reporter visited fifty stations in Flanders and discovered that going to the toilet is anything but obvious. According to Hoebeke, this is problematic: “Make toilets in stations free.”
