Carys Lloyd wins the women’s Tour of Bruges

The weather gods certainly did not spare the women’s peloton today, but even a heavy hailstorm cannot cause separation. We are going to the predicted bunch sprint, but without Charlotte Kool who is involved in a crash 2 kilometers from the finish. The sprint itself starts slowly, and produces a surprising winner, Carys Lloyd of the Movistar team, only 19 years old, but she beats Balsamo, Veenhoven, Consonni, and Bossuyt.
