Grandfather finds his wife (68) and grandson (7 months) seriously injured after a stabbing incident in Blankenberge: “He will be devastated by this”

In Blankenberge, a grandmother tried to kill her seven-month-old grandson this morning. The boy was at her home because his parents had to work. The grandmother, who suffers from serious psychological problems, stabbed the baby and then wanted to take her own life. Her husband – the child’s grandfather – was away for a while and discovered the tragedy when he returned home shortly before noon. They were both taken to hospital in life-threatening condition, but are in stable condition.
