A ‘creative housing solution’ has turned into a real nightmare for 48-year-old Meltem Kirmit and her seven children from Vlimmeren in Antwerp. While the hail clattered against the facade, a bailiff put them out on the street this morning. Suddenly everything she owned fit on a few square meters of sidewalk. “My children will soon be back from school and will no longer have a home.” A small protest action took place at the temporary town hall on Thursday evening.
