Yvonne Coldeweijer was offered a huge amount of money by Talpa yesterday, but she turned down this settlement offer. “Any reasonable person would accept this.”

It was announced in a big way: Yvonne Coldeweijer would become the face of the eve of Net5. However, her daily TV show De Juice was postponed several times and ultimately did not come at all, because there was a lot of hassle behind the scenes. Ultimately, she decided to reopen her juice channel, after which Talpa stopped payments.

Mega settlement

Yvonne has not received any money from Talpa since February, but she thinks this is unjustified and that is why she filed summary proceedings. The discussion was this afternoon and it turned out that Yvonne would cash almost nine thousand (!) from John de Mol’s media company from September 2025 to September 2027. She has already raked in 230 thousand euros of this.

According to Talpa’s counsel, a settlement proposal was offered to Yvonne yesterday. She would get paid for the entire first year, plus a grand on top of that. This would give her another 316 thousand euros. “Any right-thinking person would have grabbed this offer with both hands, but not Mrs. Coldeweijer.”

Diva behavior

Why didn’t The Juice happen? According to Talpa, Yvonne acted like a diva. Her behavior would have led to more and more clashes, thus the lawyer. Employees call Yvonne ‘tough’, ‘ruthless’ and even ‘narcissist’. The councilwoman: “It started to become more and more like the ‘Yvonne Coldeweijer I show’.”

Moreover, Yvonne would not have been prepared to adhere to ‘hard agreements’. “It was allowed to be offensive, but this should not become the TV version of her gossip channel. Because that is essential for Talpa. You should not spread uncontrolled gossip. So there would be a hearing and a hearing.”

‘Didn’t know’

Yvonne herself says she does not recognize herself in Talpa’s story. “I think the media company underestimated this. The Juice is controversial. You have to think carefully in advance whether you want to make it. I never did anything wrong. There was enthusiasm and I thought it would be great fun. I would still like to implement it.”

“I wanted to make this a success. I was so involved in the whole process and was always available all week. I was never confronted about my behavior. I didn’t know there was a conflict. They suddenly wanted to get rid of me.”
