LOWA is further expanding its commitment to trail running and has signed two of the best-known Austrian athletes in the scene: Manuel and Hans-Peter Innerhofer (30). The twin brothers become part of the trail running team and take on a central sporting role.
Manuel and Hans-Peter Innerhofer have been among the influential personalities of the Austrian trail running scene for years. With its commitment, LOWA relies on sporting expertise and an authentic understanding of performance-oriented trail running. The brothers’ close roots in the Alpine region and their responsible approach to the ecological and sporting environment in which they train and compete shape their self-image as athletes and are in close harmony with LOWA’s values.
“With Manuel and Hans-Peter Innerhofer, we are gaining two athletes who run at the highest level, live their sport and at the same time are credible ambassadors for our brand,” says Samuel Grill, Global Category Manager Trail Running at LOWA.
The twin brothers, who come from Pinzgau, have been active in endurance sports since their youth and have made a name for themselves in trail running over the years. Several national titles, including various state championships, as well as top placings at international events such as the World Mountain Running Championships underline their importance in the scene.

The collaboration offers the opportunity to contribute our sporting experience and to actively shape further development,” says Hans-Peter Innerhofer. His brother Manuel Innerhofer adds: “The performance of the products impressed me from the start. Support, grip and low weight are crucial for me in competition. As part of the LOWA trail running team, Manuel and Hans-Peter Innerhofer will be closely involved in the further development of the trail running collection and will represent LOWA in an approachable and authentic manner at competitions, events and in brand communication.
