After Collien Fernandes made the allegations against her ex-husband Christian Ulmen – according to which he was said to have distributed deepfake pornography of her – public, there were numerous expressions of solidarity. Regarding the accusations made public, the moderator also shared the sentence: “You virtually raped me!” The cabaret artist Monika Gruber took up exactly this sentence in an article – and is now receiving a lot of criticism for the way she took it up.
X-Post causes negative reactions
On Saturday, March 21, 2026, Monika Gruber posted two Facebook fake profiles that she had created on X. She wrote: “Attention, these two profiles are FAKE! I feel virtually raped.” The statement was probably a reference to Collien Fernandes’ allegations and her statement.
It didn’t take long for many people to react to X – and they were extremely negative. Some saw the use of the phrase to draw attention to fake profiles as problematic. One person wrote: “Monika Gruber is once again showing perverted tastelessness.”
Another comment read: “She delights in the systematic degradation and laughs at this self-disclosure!” In addition, the words “disgusting” and “disgusting” could be read repeatedly.
Monika Gruber continues
However, the 54-year-old didn’t let the criticism shut her down – instead she upped her game. Also on She wrote: “Dear men, don’t let anyone convince you that you are all invasive, misogynistic, disrespectful and therefore despicable pigs. THAT is also sexism, which is rejected by the majority of women, even if the media image seems to be different.”
Monika Gruber is taking a different path than many other women who have shown solidarity with Collien Fernandes in order to deal with the case surrounding Christian Ulmen.
