Lecco beats Pro Patria, loses Cittadella, Cosenza comes back from Latina. Here’s what happened in the 10 matches this Sunday in Serie C, with groups A and C on the field.

GROUP A

Lecco smiles, beating a desperate Pro Patria in an overwhelming manner and closing the game to within two of second-placed Brescia: in poker, above all, the return to goals, after more than two months, of the Croatian striker Sipos, who Valente missed so much during his injury, remains on record. Cittadella, however, slips, remaining in fifth place after the knockout of Arzignano: Lanzi in the middle of the first half substantially saves Daniele Di Donato’s team, who also misses a penalty with Minesso (in the final, Rabbi comes close to equalising). Meanwhile, Novara’s positive streak continues, overwhelming Alcione with a brace from Lanini and reaching the playoff zone. However, Inter U23 would be out of the post-season today, having not won in ten games and being overtaken by Dolomiti Bellunesi (ever closer to avoiding the playouts): a splendid left-footed shot under Luca Clemenza’s cross, Mondonico doubles the lead with Cinquegrano who shortens too late.

GROUP C

With the big three Benevento, Catania and Salernitana involved in Monday’s postponements, Cosenza provisionally takes third place by overturning Latina: the usual Parigi scored, then the reaction dragged by the best on the pitch Caporale (Contiliano and Cannavò also scored). In the playoff zone, a precious point for Crotone who catches Sorrento in a maxi recovery thanks to the penalty from the former Musso (much disputed decision, after Fvs review). Cerignola continues to rise, with their fifth home win in a row: against Giugliano Gambale scores a penalty, his 12th of the season. The standings are also moving at the bottom: on the Cavese pitch, Foggia does everything to win but comes out with one point (0-0), after 10 defeats in a row. Michele Pazienza’s team remains in last place, awaiting developments from sports justice regarding Syracuse and Trapani (new hearing at the Tfn on Thursday 26th). Meanwhile, on the pitch, Turati and Aronica’s teams both win: Siracusa reaches and then surpasses Picerno (deciding goal from Gudelevicius), while Trapani beats Potenza with time expired thanks to Winkelmann (on a corner development).
