A motorist had to surrender his driver’s license at the Flight Forum in Eindhoven on Thursday evening. He was driving 40 miles per hour over the speed limit. Three other drivers were fined.
The Royal Military Police carried out a speed check at the Flight Forum. The driver whose driver’s license was taken away was driving 114 kilometers per hour on a road where the maximum speed is 50 kilometers per hour.
Three other drivers were driving between 90 and 100 kilometers per hour. In the Netherlands, your driver’s license is taken away if you have driven 50 kilometers per hour or more too fast. As a result, they were allowed to keep their driver’s license and only received a fine.
The military police write on Instagram that people regularly drive too fast in the vicinity of the Flight Forum, often by street racers. That is why the military police and police carry out more frequent checks.
