Ten years ago, Belgium was shocked by the worst terrorist attacks in its history. On March 22, 2016, three explosions took place, two at Zaventem airport and one at Maalbeek metro station. This resulted in 32 deaths and 340 injuries. In the months and years that followed, three more people died as a result of their physical or psychological injuries, bringing the official death toll to 35.
