At the 98th Academy Awards, last year’s best films and their creators are awarded.
This year, the Oscars will be held for the 98th time. The gala will be hosted by Conan O’Brien.
The gala organized in Los Angeles, USA will reward the best-grossing films of 2025 and their creators.
The live broadcast of the gala starts on Yle Teema and Yle Areena on the night before Sunday and Monday at 00:30. The program starts with the red carpet part and the official gala part starts at 1:00.
At the gala, prizes are awarded in a total of 24 different categories.
The horror film starring Michael B. Jordan has collected the most nominations Sinnerswhich earned itself no less than 16 nominations. Thus, it breaks the record for Oscar nominations. The movie starring Leonardo DiCaprio has received the second most nominations One Battle After Another.
Previously, the record for Oscar nominations was held by All About Eve, Titanic and La La Land, who all had 14 nominations.
