E-commerce faces ever-increasing challenges – from complex regulatory requirements to technical developments and ever-increasing competitive pressure. In order to actively support online retailers in this dynamic environment, the Dealer Association recently launched the new “Dealer Association Forum”.

This platform is intended to serve as a central contact point where retailers can exchange ideas across marketplaces, shop systems and company sizes and develop solutions together.

The need for such a platform is great because classic information sources often reach their limits when it comes to very specific, individual questions.

New forum for online retailers in the DACH region

Tim Arlt, founder and CEO of the Dealer Association, emphasizes the need for collective action: “The challenges in online trading are not getting any less – they are becoming more complex. If you want to be successful in the long term, you need more than individual knowledge. You need a strong network. The Dealer Association Forum is our contribution to actively shaping this network.”

The heart of the new offering is a structured, legally secure and professionally moderated community. In contrast to conventional exchange platforms, the Dealer Association Forum offers crucial added value: the initial legal assessment by the Dealer Association team of experts. This technical classification helps to reduce uncertainties about specific problems at an early stage and to provide orientation.

The variety of topics in the forum is broad and is based directly on the everyday work of individual traders. Current trends and hurdles are discussed based on six clearly defined topic areas (Law & Laws, Marketplaces & Platforms, Shop Systems & Technology, Marketing, Logistics & Payment and Networking & Off-Topic), starting with regulatory requirements through to tangible growth and scaling strategies. The focus is always on an objective, quality-oriented discourse, which is ensured by professional moderation.

Technically, the dealer association relies on proven forum software developed in Germany, which enables intuitive and GDPR-compliant use. The forum thus offers a protected space in which industry insiders can meet at eye level. The goal is to end the “lone battle” in online retail and promote a culture of cooperation and support.

Interested online retailers can now use the Merchant Association Forum free of charge; Access to the platform is via forum.haendlerbund.de.
