Ryan Getzlaf plays through his 17th season at the Anaheim Ducks. This season marks the end of the career of a central striker and a two-time Olympic winner.
Ryan Getzlaf spoke about his decision to quit at an emotional press conference. Teemu Selänne was present.
The duo together won the Stanley Cup to the delight of Southern California puck fans in 2007.

Life begins
