Not a single thief has made off with the so-called decoy bicycle of the local police in Antwerp in the past year. “However, examples from other cities show that decoy bicycles can work if they are used structurally and on a larger scale,” says Vlaams Belang municipal councilor Kinga Pajak. Moreover, the problem of bicycle theft in Antwerp has far from disappeared, figures show.
