It is inevitable that Sander van de Pavert has serious doubts about whether he still sends Lucky TV videos to Today Inside. His latest montage is completely butchered. “Bad!”

Sander van de Pavert and Today Inside have joined forces quite unexpectedly: for several weeks now, his Lucky TV films have been shown every evening in the SBS 6 talk show. One problem: the men of VI are not entirely enthusiastic. And Sanders’ montage from last night was even completely destroyed in the program. Ouch, painful.

Not nice

It is not a success, says Johan Derksen after the latest Lucky TV. “I have to say with disappointment that I don’t like it at all. I can’t even smile about it.”

Colleague René van der Gijp cautiously: “I like it.”

Wilfred Genee: “That still works, but I understand what you mean: on the one hand it is sometimes very good and sometimes it is indeed a bit less.”

Throw it away

Johan is destructive. “We had a nice video once and you could throw the rest away. You can’t bother the viewers with that.”

Studio guest Olav Mol: “That’s the difficult thing with humor, Johan. If you want to bring humor in advance, it is ten times more difficult than if you are sitting somewhere and you blurt out a joke.”

Johan: “Yes, but in De Wereld Draait Door he regularly managed to make a very nice video and that apparently doesn’t work here.”

Olav: “But it was new then, right? Now we have expectations.”

Valve

Tina points out that the situation is also slightly different. “It was also a closing event then, wasn’t it? It was the closing event of the program and here it is in the middle of it. I would maybe do it once a week at the most.”

Johan: “I also find it disturbing that he uses his voice for all the characters.”

Wilfred: “Are we going to completely rip off that boy here? That’s not necessary, is it? I mean: then we just have to stop it at some point, but he does have a certain kind of creativity.”

Critical

Johan is done with it. “Yes, but I said: ‘Let’s look at every video very critically to see whether it is attractive to the viewers.’ I haven’t seen this video, but apparently someone looked at it critically and said: ‘This is nice.’ I didn’t like it.”

Tina: “What you could still do, which is useful, if you broadcast it for advertising…”

Wilfred: “Yes, then you won’t get a response from Johan!”

Tina: “Hahaha.”
