Lewis Hamilton has a clear goal in mind before his second Formula 1 season with Ferrari.
“The goal is to win,” said Hamilton at the press conference before the start in Melbourne.
The seven-time world champion only knows this feeling with the Scuderia from the sprint in China. In the main races, the F1 superstar even remained without a single podium finish in 2025.
Hamilton said he hopes that Ferrari can be at the top in the first races of the new Formula 1 season. The 41-year-old is preparing for great competition.
Hamilton believes in a successful Formula 1 season
“Mercedes looks particularly fast and I’m not entirely sure we’ve seen Red Bull’s full potential yet. So it’s all very exciting, but I know that I definitely have a great group of people behind me who are fully focused on performing and getting the most out of it every weekend,” said Hamilton, commenting on the balance of power in Formula 1.

Ferrari has “learned a lot from last year – we are leaving the bad behind us and moving forward with the good. We are sharp, well prepared and know what we have to do. We also know that the new regulations bring major challenges for all of us,” said the Brit.
Will everything get better in Ferrari’s second year?
Hamilton is starting his 20th year in Formula 1, his second with the Scuderia.
“It’s different than the first year, and it’s a much nicer feeling after spending a year with the team, understanding the culture and finding ways to work together,” explained the record world champion and also said: “I think we’re in a good position as a team now, and I feel very well connected to the team, so I’m much happier.”
